01 / PATENT DISPUTES

Invalidation proceedings leading to settlement

During my work at a patent agency, I represented a client in invalidation proceedings against a competitor's patent. The proceedings helped the parties reach a commercial settlement, linking the patent challenge to the broader business dispute.

02 / INTELLIGENT VEHICLES · R&D

Building a patent programme around R&D

In an in-house IP role at an intelligent vehicle company, I established patent management, incentive and workflow procedures. Alongside the company's filing programme, I independently researched, drafted and handled office action responses for more than 100 applications involving AI, autonomous driving, new energy and mechanical technologies.

Portfolio management and industry research

At a brain–computer interface company, I handled patents involving brain–computer interfaces and EEG medical devices, monitored competitor patents, participated in patent reviews and planned overseas filings. I also contributed to projects concerning patent analysis and industry IP reports in this field.

04 / AUDIO TECHNOLOGY · INTERNATIONAL IP

Coordinating filings and patent transactions

In an audio technology company, I coordinated patent matters in China, the United States, Europe, Australia and other jurisdictions. The work involved PCT, Hague System and direct filing routes, together with patent licensing and acquisition projects.

05 / INVESTMENT · CORPORATE IP

IP due diligence across financing rounds

In an in-house role at an internet company, I assisted with IP due diligence for Series B, C and C+ financing, IP reviews of acquisition targets and related transfers of rights. I also organised patent reviews, invention identification and competitor patent monitoring.

Working together

What should I include in an initial enquiry?
A brief description of the technology or product, the issue and any known deadline. For disputes, please identify the parties for a conflict check. We can agree on a suitable channel before exchanging confidential technical documents or case files.
Can we work in English?
Yes. I communicate in Chinese and English and coordinate with local counsel on overseas IP matters. The jurisdictions, scope of work and responsible professional entity are agreed before engagement.
How are scope and fees agreed?
They depend on the materials, procedural stage, deadlines and work involved. Engagement is subject to a conflict check, an appropriate professional entity and written terms.
